The colors in this salad are beautiful. Walnuts for crunch against the beetroot. Then you have the beautiful red lends a beautiful deep color. You have the salty briny Feta cheese. I would love to try this salad without a doubt.
Rising Food Prices
The cost of food is going up like crazy. Three months ago I got a 24 pack of Dr. Pepper at Wal-Mart. I looked at it again yesterday and it went up a dollar. A Whole dollar! The articles I am using for this will be linked below in the bibliography. If you are new to Scratch Kitchen or Anarchy Land, I try to include links to articles and/or products I review. That you can go over and read or purchase at your convenience. Prices will be going up around the world. I will be looking at how this will affect America because that’s where I live. If you see this and you want to share what’s going on in your corner of the world, please feel free to share. I would love to hear about this. Also, let’s share tips on making our dollars and food go further.
The first article is going to be Why Food Prices Are Rising, Recent Trends, and 2021 Forecast. This article breaks down how much things will be going up and why. It’s horrifying to know things are expensive today will twice as much by December. The other three articles are different perspectives on the United Nations statement about the rise in cost. Now we have been looking at this for over a year now. And these prices have steadily climbed like a mountain climber. Slow and steady.
The cost of meat going up is an engineered false rise. Over the last year, we have seen a push for people (you and me) to go vegan. During the pandemic, last year Bill Gates didn’t stay home. He went out on a shopping spree. What did he buy? Almost 96% of the farmland in America. Yeah! You and I go on a shopping spree, it’s Amazon (Wal-Mart) for used whatever it is we need or a thrift store. Bill Gates, Donald Trump, or Jeff Bezos goes on a shopping spree, look out landowners. In March the United Nations revised their estimation about how much the cost of food will go up for us. Not for them of course. Over the last two years, we have seen companies like Tyson and Purdue investing in Beyond Meat and Impossible Burger. Processed junk basically. The price of these is terribly high. They revival the cost of meat. There are other brands like Morning Star that’s been around for a long time. Their products are more reasonably priced. They are still processed. What about the emissions from the plants that make this processed stuff? Crickets. That’s what you hear. Nobody wants to talk about that angel. Nor do they want to talk about the vitamins which vegans have to take to make up the difference in nutrients they don’t get because of those macronutrients we need and can only get from meat.
The bottom line, our cost of food is going to go up dramatically. This isn’t because of any climate change nonsense, it’s about control. Henry Kissenger said back in the 1970s if you control the oil you control a nation. Control food, you control the people. We are seeing this play out right now.

As the article says, most people go to Europe for a culinary vacation to France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, or Italy. Dreaming of Au Gratins, Paella, or an Italian Grandma quality pasta and sauce. Pretzels and beer in Germany is fantastic. No one expects to find dishes in Slavc countries that are to die for. Yet they deliver awesome dishes that will make feel at home.

Below will be the links for the air fryer and cream cheese wontons. So far Pogoda is the only brand I personally have seen add the directions for using air fryers to heat their products up. There could be other companies but I haven’t seen or taken time to notice.
Heather The Kneady Homesteader Update
Heather is recovering in a rehabilitation center where she lives up around Flint. Her kids are out of their cast for their breaks. Mena is still wearing a neck brace. It’s smaller than the other one. Yesterday after I recorded this video I saw Heather’s Instagram post where she updated her marital status to widowed. I can’t imagine how hard that was for her to finally have to be the one to mark that box. Much less to say those words, “I am a widow”.

Here is a review of the air fryer my daughter bought plus using it on Pagoda Cream Cheese Wontons. So far Pagoda is the only company to include directions for air dryers.
For the update on Heather at The Kneady Homesteader, she still in the same facility for her rehabilitation from the injuries she got on Feburary 13. Her kids Madon and Mena are doing well physically. Mason no longer has a cast and he’s doing great in therapy to deal with what he witnessed. Mena has a small cast on her, I think left hand, and a small collar neck brace. However, she can’t bring herself to talk about the accident because it’s just to scary. I have no doubt that when she’s ready there will be a therapist for her.
