APPETIZER! Baked Camembert with Garlic and Rosemary. Garlic and Rosemary are always a hit. Then add a soft cheese. Oh yeah!
BREAKFAST: Oeuf En Cocotte or “shirred egges”. This is a classic French breakfast. Baked eggs has a lot of flavor.
SOUP: French Onion Soup is classic. It screams France. There’s very little ingredients. The thing that takes the longest is the onions. Getting them just right is essential.
MAIN DISHES: Mustard Chicken Recipe is another classic French dish to learn how to make. Two different types of mustard. Use shallots instead of onion.
SIDES: Smoked Salmon Nicoise salad is another very classic French salad. It has a vinaigrette to serve over it.
DESSERT: Creme Brulee. Basically a fancy custard.

My daughter got clothes from my cousin’s daughter who was three years older than her for years. And we appreciated it greatly. His wife doesn’t buy cheap stuffat Walmart okay. So every year my daughter scored majorly. That went on for five years.

If you aren’t familiar with Shabby Fabrics, it’s a quilting and related service. You get a kit that has everything you need to make anything. Table runners to ornaments for Christmas Tree. Now they can seem pricy except you get everything you need to make a project. Rulers, fabric and directions. Even thread. Plus you can add ghings like a wool pressing mat. Do you have buy the same ruler everytime? Nope. You access to tutorial videos on their website or YouTube.
The particular link above gives you access to a free download for the pattern. There twelve total. You can get the fabrics you wish where you wish. Hope you guys enjoy.

School lunches are horrible now. The lunch room itself can be hit or miss. My daughter used to wait till she got home to eat. Yeah! It was that bad. Of course, you have to make sure this is allergian free.
The lunchbox is prettier than anything you could buy at the store. Plus, you know everything in the box because you assembled most of it. Feel free to use a dressing you have. I know this says ham but you could use whatever cold cut that’s on sale. Cheese will be what you have on hand.
Veggie sides here are cucumber and carrots. Use what you have. You could add fruit as well.
Chelsea has other ideas for this lunchbox. Chicken Casear wrap or cucumber sandwich. As always check Pinterest for new uses for ingredients you already have.
Summer Wind Down…
I have debated about what to post today. I know it’s one the biggest grilling days of the year. Especially, in the North where I live. We can’t grill all year long. Pretty soon we will be covering the pools and sending the children off to school. Or home schooling them.
It’s time to get the clothes out to see what fits and what can be passed on to other children in your community. With corporate greed the way it is, I strongly recommend thrift stores. Check out Pinterest to see what you can do to fancy up clothes so they don’t look thrifted. Or learn how to make clothes.
Until September, we will be looking at everything back to school related. I hope that my own experience of back to school shopping on a tight budget helps someone out there.

In this impromptu series, we’ve discussed salads which can handle time outside. What we haven’t covered is drinks. I am talking about a drink all can enjoy.
This is an awesome solution and a cut above the old fashion lemonade. Watermelon is the unofficial fruit of summer. Don’t get me wrong I love strawberries. Watermelon is on another level. You bit into watermelon and it’s like heaven. Sweet and juicy.
There are other options to add. Blueberries with lemon is always awesome.
