Instant Pot Honey Mustard Chicken Recipe | Kitchn

https://www.thekitchn.com/instant-pot-honey-mustard-chicken-recipe-23201014

This recipe sounds delicious. On top of that the veggies could be switched out to seasonal veggies.

Dijion is one of those mustards that you either love or you don’t. You could always scale back the amount used in cooking and add more later. Of course, if your all in for this mustard, feel free to go wild.

My point being is that recipes are like a road map. They show how to blend certain spices and herbs. They also give directions on cuts.

Ultimate Pepper Steak Marinade – Marion’s Kitchen

https://www.marionskitchen.com/ultimate-pepper-steak-marinade/

This steak salad sounds delicious. I am sure you could us flank, skirt, or a flat iron steak would do.

The flavors are bright and fresh. Using fresh ingredients native to Thailand (or add any tropical country) makes a huge difference. I do plan on trying it.

Classic British Fish and Chips Recipe

https://www.thespruceeats.com/best-fish-and-chips-recipe-434856

Seeing how well England is doing at extracting their citizens out of Afghanistan I wanted to tip my hat to them. What better way then a favorite dish like Fried Fish and Chips. Okay they are actually fries but today in honor of the wonderful job they doing we will call them chips. I don’t usually get political on this blog, but the situation in Afghanistan is spinning out of control and they seem to be the only ones willing to do what should be done.

This is where America’s obsession with fried food must come from. The fish is fried to perfection. Meaning it still taste like the fish it is and is embraced with a batter which adds to the flavor. The chips are fried to a beautifully crispy state that anyone could enjoy. Just looking at the picture makes me crave it. Hats off to the Spruce.

Old Fashioned Cake Doughnuts Recipe| The Recipe Critic

https://therecipecritic.com/cake-donuts/

I love cake Doughnuts. Seriously!

Anytime I smell a cake doughnut I think about my late Grams. She would make these beautiful cake doughnuts that was so good. No glaze or icing. Just the doughnut. To this day at 49 almost 50 a cake doughnut is still my favorite.

Watch “TS Henri” on YouTube

The Northeast corner of America is bracing for TS Henri so I want to make room for average people to post videos about how they are doing and for average people to share how the storm compares to the ones in their past.

I will be off of YT and Bitchute.

New Cookbooks

Over the last few days I have finally got my library put together. I have an extensive collection of cookbooks. I still can’t believe it’s finally about done. I will be sharing more of the cookbooks I have secured. I can’t wait to share with y’all the wonderful cooking skills we will learn and build up together.

I Shop at Aldi for One. Here Are the Best Things I Buy for Myself.

https://www.insider.com/best-things-at-aldi-for-one-shopping-list-2021-8

I love Aldi’s. However, I haven’t been there in a long time. I will make them a major part of my shopping with Fall around the corner.

The author of this article shared their favorite items to pick up at Aldi’s. No I will share a few of my favorite items.

Shredded Swiss cheese. They have Gruyere and Gouda cheese shredded and it’s awesome. Best of all is they don’t cost $5 a bag like Kroger.

Frozen produce. Aldi’s has a good selection of frozen produce. There’s mixed bags and solo options. The frozen shrimp is good. Put it on a plate against competitors and you’ll never know the difference.

They do have an organic and gourmet line of food. The meat selection is good. Of course, these items cost a bit more.

Christmas items. OMG! Aldi’s starts getting their European style sweets after Thanksgiving. The chocolate is heavenly. It’s not super sweet like our chocolate items are.

Aldi’s does offer alcoholic beverages at a fair price. I don’t drink and my daughter is under 21. Whatever you desire from a grocery store they have you covered without cleaning your your wallet. They also have cleaning supplies.

Watch “My EPIC homemade sweet & sour sauce with meatballs | Marion’s Kitchen #athome” on YouTube

EPIC! What a great word to describe this dish. Meatballs meets a classic Chinese Cuisine. Marion uses beef meatballs, but I am sure any meat would work. Mation took a short cut with store made meatballs.

If you do a mega cooking session you could crank these out. However if you don’t have time for that ir you can get a great deal on meatballs pre-made, go for it. Back in June I got a great deal on Kroger beand flame broiled meatballs so you know I am going to use them.

Marion did make her own sauce though. I can’t wait to make this dish. If you make it, share. Share your results.

Watch “3 Chinese takeout dinners you can make at home | Marion’s Kitchen” on YouTube

These are the top 3 Chinese takeout meals for Marion and everyone else. The tips Marion shares will yield a light and crispy outside of the meat. Opposed to heavy batters.

Yes! I like a solid batter on fish for frying. Fish can be delicate and needs some support a batter offers. Then there’s fish who don’t need batters like Tuna or Salmon.

There are so many versions of sweet and sour chicken it’s not funny. The next dish Marion did was with pork belly. Not bacon exactly. Rather the pork belly is diced and fried instead of brined and smoked to become bacon. I personally have tried to find pork belly with no success. Of course, I am in the states. Good bees is I am sure you could use a cut for roasting like Boston Butt. There’s a comparable amount ratio of meat to fat between the cuts.
