A Complete Guide to Thai Curry Pastes

https://www.seriouseats.com/guide-to-thai-curry-pastes-5201073

This article takes you through a journey of curries. Specifically their paste. Yellow, green, and red. The article breaks down the difference between each.

It also includes directions on using a mortar and a processor. After watching Marion from Marion’s Kitchen, she has demonstrated the advantage of each piece of equipment against each other. Electric vs hand ground.

Each process does have it’s merits. Mortar and pestal allows you to really pull all of the natural oils and aromas out items like coriander. A processor can be tricky. If you use a processor don’t give in to the temptation to use oil. You can issues with the cutting and mixing process. Use water. If you rehydrate your peppers, use that water. It’s seasoned.

I by no means am an expert on curries. From what I have read on them, they basically like a stew with lot of attitude.

Sweet and Sour Pineapple Broccoli Chicken Stir Fry | Ambitious Kitchen

https://www.ambitiouskitchen.com/pineapple-broccoli-chicken-stir-fry/

Fruit in a savory dish. It works better than I ever thought it would work. I came across a recipe by Kartie Truman for Honey Lime Chicken with pineapple in the dish. Delicious!

The sweet and tartness of the pineapple against the salt in soy sauce, fish and/or oyster sauce is absolutely delicious. Then you have the bell peppers with their crunch and beautiful colors along side the bright green broccoli, do I really have say anything else.

Now what to serve it over? Noodles, rice, or these faux rice products like cauliflower rice. There’s always spiraled zucchini. So the choices are vast. This promises to be a wonderful dish.

You won’t always see her children in the videos. If they pass through the kitchen in front of the cam then they do. If not then that’s fine to.

Retrospective: 9/11

It’s been 20 years since this fateful day. A day that changed America. I have no idea how it’s changed other countries. If you read this and live in another country, please share with us what has changed in your country since 9/11.

I can remember when people went to air ports and could check in without a hassle. When friends could plan a get together anywhere they wanted. We could speak our minds and it was fine if people didn’t agree on. Then everything changed.

When I think of the lies that has been sold to us and the lives lost as a result, I’m filled with rage. Just blinding rage st the government here in the states, and our citizens. We bought every lie hook line and sinker. We knew the importance of asking the five critical questions we should always ask: who, what, when, where, why, and how. We were told that to question things was ‘unpatriotic’. “You’re either with us, or you’re against us” became the rallying cry. To disagree with America about anything was to be against us and you sided with the enemy.

The enemy of today will be the friend of tomorrow. French fries became Freedom fries overnight. Seriously! That was the level of petty behavior we have seen since. It’s still in play. It really breaks my heart to see my fellow citizens being reduced to small children with their feelings hurt. Hanging on to mommy or daddy’s leg sucking their thumb.

Right off the bat the media knew it was Osama Bin Laden. We the people had no idea who he was. Most had forgotten our role in Afghanistan back in the late 1970s till the 1980s when Russia finally left Afghanistan. Our role simply was to fund and arm the Mujahideen. Through the 1980s the Mujahideen acted as ‘security’ for the poppy fields owned by pharma in Afghanistan. During the 1980s there were movies which glorified the Mujahideen and their role in the heroin trade. The 1990s brought a harsh reality to the Mujahideen; we’re being screwed over. They looked at what they were making and what our government along with pharma was making. They realized, ‘we’re getting screwed.’ Now this is the important part, Mujahideen fostered Taliban/Al Qaeda/Al Diash/ISIS and extra. At the end of the day they are lumped in with the CIA.

It’s insane to believe that we have had so many rights and liberties scared out of us since then. In the name of national security we have agreed to be spied on by our government. We’ve agreed to be on camera while in public. We are currently being pressured to give up our medical privacy rights.

I do think the overall results of 9/11 test are this: when scared Americans will put the constitution in the freezer in the name of national security. The Patriot Act proved this further.

This is a great idea. Of course, sheet pan meals are a great idea. One pan to clean. Why not?

Take everything and put it on a sheet pan. I can see why busy families have these in a weekday. The choices are vast. Pinterest to the rescue.

Stove Top Meatloaf (With Stove Top Stuffing Mix) | Bake It With Love

https://bakeitwithlove.com/stove-top-meatloaf/#

This is a version of meatloaf sounds delicious. I have heard of using Stovetop Stuffing in meatloaf on Pinterest. Once my mouth heals completely I will be making this.

Now let’s talk about the meat possibilities. Angela recommends a high fat meat. I agree. There’s nothing worst then a dry piece of meatloaf. You won’t be getting any in-law points there. You can use a mix of veal, beef, pork, and turkey. Just an idea.

Angela does give instructions for making this meatloaf without eggs. The important part is the bread. Oh yeah! Of course, you can use store brand. I will be. The flavor possibilities are endless. Between the veggies, stuffing, meat mixture and topping sauce this could shape up into the best meatloaf you make.

Chicken Pot Pie Biscuit Skillet | I Wash You Dry

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love pot pies. Seriously! They are so versatile. The only thing you can do wrong is burn them.

This version is extra special because it combines roasted chicken with veggies with a gravy and topped with biscuits very similar to the Red Lobster’s biscuits. OMG! I love the biscuits at Red Lobster. I see I can go through about six baskets through the salad alone.

So to combine the two could be instant happiness.
