We are at week five which means it’s time to finalize everything from the guest list, style of meal, and table settings. Table settings will be next week. This article caught my eye because of the cooking method of the meal: GRILL. 🥰

That’s one of the few things I miss about Florida. Winters are beautiful for the most so cooking outside during Thanksgiving is doable. Here’s the perfect menu for that occasion. You could even do desserts on a grill. Yep! For more ideas you can always check out Bobby Flay or Richard Bayless. Richard does a lot of Mexican Cuisine still has potential.

I am so thrilled to be getting over COVID-19. I am still dealing with the lightheaded feeling and tired. Other than those two things it’s about put of my system.

I am reconsidering my stance on the vax. I am not saying anyone else has to follow suit. We all have to do what is best for us individually.

The Best Oven Baked Chicken Shawarma You Need To Try – The Tortilla Channel

https://thetortillachannel.com/oven-baked-chicken-shawarma/

Shawarma! What to hell is that? That was my thought process the first time I ever heard of a Shawarma m. Basically, rotisserie meat. Yeah! There’s a slight difference.

Rotisserie is insterting a stick through a chicken persay. Shawarma is stacking the meat on a stick the place the stick vertically in a cooker. Rotisserie cooks horizontally.

Now the seasonings. Shawarma uses an Arabic combination of spices. Here’s a thought. Gryos use the same cooking technique as the Shawarma except different seasonings. Greek seasonings tend to be used interchangeably with Italian. Maybe one or two things are different.

A basic Shawarma mix is the following: (2Tbsp.) ground garlic powder, (2 Tbsp.) allspice, (1 Tbsp.) cinnamon, (1 Tbsp.) nutmeg, (2 tsp.) black pepper, (2 tsp.) cardamom, (2 tsp.) oregano, (1 tsp.) chili powder, (1tsp.) sea salt. Mix together. The amounts will vary from house to house. I just wanted to give you a basic idea of the season lineup. As you can see it’s not too spicy. Only two carriers of heat here.

What to serve with the Shawarma? Humus, perhaps a salad with pickled veggies, or instead of the usual mayo use a yogurt and cucumber dip. The bread is easy; pita or tortilla.

*THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE!*

No new symptoms. That’s pretty much the highlight of my day. Otherwise I am resting when needed and drinking hot tea. This COVID-19 is miserable. I use to get the flu every year and it was nothing compared to this.

🌋THIS ISN’T MEDICAL ADVICE!🌋

I haven’t been this tired since we brought Antonia home as an infant. Seriously! Bodyaches all over and lightheaded. Now try to walk a straight line. Not happening!

I did get the okay to take something over the counter. Of course, I had to match my symptoms to the medication I used. For now I am resting and taking in fluids.

Remember: I am not giving medical advice. This is just what I personally am experiencing. The only thing new is off taste. Things that should taste great don’t.

I didn’t put that in the video because I don’t want my daughter to worry. No If it turns out I do have COVID-19  I will need her focused on other things like keeping the apartment functioning. Taking care of the pets. Light cooking and housekeeping. Plus she has school and work.
