I found a version of this in a Ball book. It’s a beautiful jam and I will be be taking Liesa’s approach. Use canned fruit. This way you know it’s sweet.

Sweet and heat of this jam would be amazing. Being a Southern girl I dig sweet and heat. I use to go strawberry picking in Florida. Yes you get a better quality of berry that way. The deep beautiful purple color is incredible.
