The original write I had got erased. Yeah! I am sharing what I see coming for us in the near future. In the video, I break down how much Russia and Ukraine contribute agriculturally to the world. And only that. The link below will lead you to the articles I looked at.
The author of this article is Steven John and he delivers a major truth bomb about what didhes actually are found in India and which ones are tourist traps. Take Tikki Chicken Marssala.
No really take it because people in India don’t eat it. It was created in Glashlow Scotland. Yep. Steven John goes into detail about all kinds of things like Samosas. They have become an American obsession. Here’s the problem. Are you ready? Original Samosa don’t have meat in them.
I guess Porky pig would be happy about that. However, Mary’s little lamb won’t be happy because folks in India do eat lamb just not the curry listed in this article. Nope. India is known for their curries. Red hot burn your lips to mild green. They’ve influenced the cuisines across Southeast Asia. Check out Mation’s Kitchen on YouTube ( the one thing YouTube is actually still good for). Of course, there are many channels dedicated to cuisines in Southeast Asia.
Back to the article, this is actually a common thing. When a country becomes a trend, there will be knock off dishes that’s supposed to be ‘authentic’. After living with someone who started life in another country, I have learned to be suspicious. Steven John has other articles on dishes that are supposed to be from other nations that aren’t found there at all.
Fika! What isthis? It’s time the Swedish folks take to have coffee or tea with some kind of baked good with friends, family, or alone.
It stopping what you’re doing and taking time to breathe. Not thinking about things going on in your life or in the world itself. Enjoy a book, art show, or conversation. This article refers to a book on Fika which I have. Yeah!
I bought last summer. Courious about it so I got it. I will share it soon. Untill then, enjoy the article and have a Fika today.
A month from today is Easter. Seriously! This year is moving right along.
Let’s look at decorations. What do you currently have? Is it something you want to borrow? If so, ask.
You are going to notice that things like this I say borrow. I am not going to encourage you to go into debt for a meal. One day a year. Hit thrift stores if you have to spend money. Also, Dollar Tree is now $1.25 and up Tree now.
Next week will be activities. You going to make plans for outside and inside.
This recipe has so many possibilities. My heat pounded with excitement. Cold brew coffee can be flavored in any way. Flavoring old brew is a simple as adding a cinnamon stick and chili powder in the grounds.
Scandinavian you could use fennel seeds or cardamom pods. Almond extract can be added. If you want an Indian influence cardamom and lime perhaps pinch of gram marsala. For Southeast Asia cinnamon and lemon grass. Brown sugar would be a good sweetener. The article did say brown sugar gave a beautiful luxurious texture.
How you put your cold brew together? Given the cost of cold brew, and rising cost of everything, making cold brew has been mived up my to do list.
Here’s a vegan version of a Russian favorite. It sounded delicious. On top of that is the fact you could a variety of mushrooms.
Mush2come in so many variables. For every point on earth there’s a mushroom for it. I grew up eating white button mushrooms. I didn’t learn about Portabella mushrooms until my twenties. From there it was like a door was opened. Caraminis are baby bellas. Oyster mushrooms are used across Asian countries. The choices are endless.
Vegan milk. Again there is a huge variety of these. We use Almond milk unflavored. We aren’t vegan. We don’t really like the taste of cows milk. If you beed heavy cream try the coconut cream. It’s supposed to be like heavy cream. This industry has come a long way.
Onions. Rather you love them or hate them they add so much flavor. Yes they burn your eyes with their gases. I don’t know any way around it. I have tried everything. Nothing has worked.
What is Food Protectionism? It is when a nation limits its exports to be sent outside of the country. Over the last two weeks, we have seen several countries put a stop to food exports. This started last year with Brazil deciding after a terrible season it wouldn’t be able to send as much out as they had planned. China had a terrible harvest season as well because of climate issues. China has been buying up everything it possibly could.
Southeast Asia has hit a brick wall with the production of cooking oil. These nations won’t be shipping out as many materials as originally planned. No! This isn’t Russia’s fault by any means. Given the situation between Russia and Ukraine isn’t helping matters. The only reason I am even bringing it up is that this is where the majority of the wheat for bread is grown. Yes, some nations do grow their own grain, but not enough.
I am going to leave a number of articles for y’all to read and understand why I have reached the assessment that I have. We are headed for rationing. I am not talking about just in America, I mean worldwide just like during WW II. Limited products and people to feed caused both England and America to ration products. The upside of the food rations is that by the end the people were in better shape than they’d been in years. They had unlimited fruit and veggies they grew and lean meats. Fats and sugars, however, were limited and expensive. They rode bikes and walked everywhere. Driving was limited because gas, oil, and tires were rationed. So driving was done on a must-do basis. We are headed down the same path.

Sara Bir, like myself grew up eating cream of soups in casseroles. I say cream of because there are many versions now. It used to be cream of mushroom soup.
As Sara says in this article cream of soups are just concentrated flavored bechamel. Here’s how to make a fream of soup. Equal parts flour to fat combined together and add milk or heavy cream. Than add your flavoring, mushrooms, celery or chicken. That’s it. Done!
Easy right! From there any casserole is within your reach. Check out Pinterest or Simply recipes link above.
