The Russian Soldiers in Patrick’s video are evacuating citizens of Mariupol to a corridor where they can some what safely leave after Ukrainian troops wouldn’t let them leave.
Tomorrow Is Easter
Tomorrow is Easter! Where did the month go? Look at your living room. What is there to do that your kids could and should do? Bathroom check. Does everything look good with hand towels for tomorrow and enough toilet paper?
Moving on to the kitchen. If you are preparing dishes in advance then you could do this now. Or if you are doing a potluck, clean thoroughly. You know there will always be that annoying person who looks at everything. They are looking and if it doesn’t meet their idea of clean they will let you know. For them, invite them over to help clean or zip it. You have this dinner plus your regular schedule to tend to. You can tell that I’ve got experience with this issue. As for dinner, don’t be shy about delegating this task as well. What the hell, you’re on a roll. Besides, you’ve done most of the cleaning, cooking, and tidying up. Let the family fend for themselves for one meal.
Now that you are done just take a minute to do the last-minute tidying up before you get a well-deserved sleep.

Here is what I saw at my local Walmart. There’s been a limit on baby formula since February.
Two Days to Easter
You have two days till the big day. I hope this post has been helpful. Up to this point, you should have games for the kids planned out for inside and outside. Last month we had three days of Spring-like temps then slammed with snow. So make sure you have a plan. One day away from video games would be ideal.
What are the tasks left? Well let’s see; prep for cooking. Did you order your dinner pre-cooked or are you going to potluck it? Which isn’t a bad idea. Pick up your outfits for Easter. Prep your kitchen to be the zone where everyone gathers.
Go through your home and do some spot cleaning and you are done.
Easter Shopping
An option I haven’t thought about is the service most stores offer is a pre-cooked meal. All you do is pick it up and heat it. This service is offered in most stores across the country.
Now for the shopping. What store do you use? How far are they from your home? Will you have time after work to up everything you need? Or can you take one day a week to devote to this shopping? This meal may seem overwhelming but if you break it down it can be done easily.
Let’s start with your pantry at home. What are the recipes that you are responsible for? Make sure you have everything. Offer to let others pick from your pantry if needed. A good holiday meal should cost a month’s salary. What are going to wear? The average dry cleaner is affordable compared to buying a new dress. If you need alterations, now is the time to plan on that. Again, compared to a brand new dress, alterations and dry cleaner is affordable.
Pelmeni Recipe (Meat Dumplings) – Valentina’s Corner
Pelmeni are adorable little dumplings from Russia. What goes into them depends on where you have them. Each home has a different recipe. Rather you make them by hand or use a tool like a dumpling maker or a Pelmenitsa is up to the individual.
Like their Polish cousin the Pierogi, Pelmeni can be frozen. Which makes them even more appealing. You can take a day and hunker down in your kitchen to make these lovely little dumplings.
What to put in them depends on you… Lamb is a popular choice among Siberians. Of course, I am sure Russians have had times when any kind of meat was welcomed. There’s a vareity of sauces to serve over these dumplings. Veggies could be seved on the side.
Indo Chinese Chilli Garlic Noodles – Vegan Richa
https://www.veganricha.com/indo-chinese-chilli-garlic-noodles/
In the mood for something that falls between Chinese and Indian. This is your dish. Onion, garlic, and ginger starts to build the flavor profile.
Then we get into the spicy of chili peppers. Salt and schzuan pepercorns could be used here. Sambal sauce is super spicy. The sweet comes in from the carrots. The vegetables are cooked at the last minute. This keeps the crunch to them. As you will seen there’s a beautiful coloration to this dish. The carrots, green onions and bell peppers are beautiful.
This dish has a lot of potential to be a favorite.
Food Crisis Future
Once again we have to discuss our food future. Below will be article links as always which I am basing my opinions. I am looking at this blatant stupidity in America Canada and Mexico, South America, and Europe. People are being told what they can and can’t do with their property. I had a response to a video review I did for A Year Without the Grocery Store. The lady was from Costa Rica and it’s had my mind going every since. Apparently, they aren’t allowed to do this. Having a year’s worth of food in your home is being discouraged across the world.
Let’s start with France. France is seriously considering rationing liquid natural gas (LNG). Yeah! You will only be allowed to use so much LNG a day in your home and that’s it. They will either have a hot bath/shower or they will heat their home and eat. Given how expensive things are getting, I doubt they will eat out so they can heat their home. So I suppose offices are going to get a little smelly with the people bathing once every other day. I can hear the bickering now…. The UK has decided to ration cooking oil. Yeah! This is bad, especially for those who haven’t stocked up in preparation for this very thing. About two weeks ago the President was in Brussels and admitted that food shortages were going to be real. He also admitted that prices were going to go up even higher.
Where do I see this going? I love history. And I am seeing some serious parallels between what Stalin did with collectivizing the farms to make them more effective. That backfired in a horrible way. It angered the people and they in turn slaughtered their livestock rather than let it go to the state to slaughter and distribute the meat. This is what caused the famine. I see the same thing happening here in America. We are being told there is bird flu. They are using a PCR test on these birds. I don’t want to know how they are using it on them. But this is getting birds herds culled.

The Absolute Best Canned Chili, Ranked
https://www.tastingtable.com/821348/the-absolute-best-canned-chili-ranked/
Chili is one of those things that can be altered according to personalized to your liking. That’s the wonderful thing about chili. Meat heavy or veggie heavy. Spicy or mild.
Toppings are as vast as the ways to make chili. Personally I am a fan of sour cream and cheese. Simple as that. I go for smoky and slight spice.
Beans or no beans? Again it’s up to you. I like beans in chili. If you don’t leave them out. This article highlights the best canned chili. I really like the Kroger brand chili sauce for chili cheese dogs.
