I came across this site while looking for cleaning schedules. I found a new site for a variety of resources. Once again Pinterest comes through. This new site is owned by Ruth. She’s a mom based in Florida. Ruth grew up in Connecticut. She got a degree in Acute Natal Nursing at the University of Florida.

Here’s a simple and easy to follow list to follow. It’s broken down day by day. There are also tips in the article. That what I was looking for and I found more that I expected.

BREAKFAST: Scrambled eggs are a great way to use left over ham. Egg bites are the in thing right now so embrace it.

LUNCH: Sandwiches, salads and soups galore. Cubans would be a great choice. Pasta salad or Chef’s Salad would be a great way to use ham.

DINNER: Queso Broccoli Chowder would be a good winter chowder.

This article has a vareity of dishes with roots in the Middle Ages. Poland has a dish they serve called Makowiee. It’s a dessert with poppy seeds. They tend to serve twelve dishes at Christmas. I hope there is no pair of turtle doves involved.

Spain has The Three Kings day on January fifth. The children love this day is when they get gifts. They have a cake with dried and candied fruit. With powdered sugar on top. The Catalonia region has a soup that is rich and delicious.

South and Central America countries have their own traditions. In Mexico they make Tamales on Christmas Eve. It’s always interesting to see how other countries celebrate holidays we have as well. We focus on trivial things like clothing and gifts or baskets. They focus on traditions and family.

20 Italian Christmas Dinners

After scrolling through this post, I realized that I should share it. Why? Affordability of these recipes.

Each of these recipes contain things you and I already have. Pasta, sauce, protein and veggies. COVERED! Lasagna has two spots here. Of course, because no two Lasagnas are the same. There’s pork bolognese and olive oil with garlic. You like pasta and bacon. Good because there’s a dish for you here.

Let’s not forget dessert. For this you go easy. Coffee poured over ice cream. I would recommend chocolate. Here’s algebra I could get into: C-C=Mocha. Yes! Coffee and chocolate makes MOCHA!

You could also do an Italian Cream Cake. This cake would go great with a bolognese and pasta. I don’t think I would serve it after something heavy like Lasagna or a Parmesan dish like Chicken Parma.

Five Days To Christmas

In five days Christmas will be here. Before that will be a blizzard. The good news is it’ll be a white Christmas. Here’s a little run down of our next few days.

Today: Wrap gifts. Yeah! About four years ago I changed my approach to Christmas gifts. They memick the gifts Christ received. There was Frankincense, Myrrh and Gold.

Wednesday: Laundry day. Wednesday and Saturdays are laundry day for us. And cookie day.

Thursday: This is the day when the blizzard is supposed to start barring down on us. Good day to prep the house for guest.

Friday: The blizzard is supposed to be over the the Midwest. Cookies…

Christmas Eve: The blizzard will be over Michigan, Wisconsin and the rest of the Ohio Valley. What ever to hell that supposed to mean. Anyway, it’ll be a good day to make sure your home is ready for guest. Tidy up where needed.

Christmas Day: The blizzard will be over the Northeast. Time to open gifts and take joy in your guest.
