I decided to rename this fudge Inheritance Fudge because it was inherited. And I do enjoy making it every year if only to watch my daughter go for the beater.
Inheritance Fudge
2 sticks of butter or 1 cup
⅔ cup of evaporated milk
4 cups of sugar
1 bag of chocolate morsels (or morsels of your choice)
7 oz. marshmallow fluff
1 tsp. Vanilla
Put butter, sugar, and milk in a heavy bottom pot. Heat till it hits a rolling boil.* Stir for 5 minutes.
In a bowl place fluff and morsels.** After the mixture of butter, sugar, and milk have boiled for 5 minutes, add it to the bowl. Mix until there is no trace of fluff. Then add vanilla then stir a little more. Pour into pans. Let it cool overnight if possible.
*Rolling boil is a boil you can’t stir down.
**If you use peanut butter morsels add a cup of peanut butter.
I used the same recipe on a box of oatmeal as last week except I used cranberries instead of chocolate chips. And I prepped it to be frozen and baked later. This is the perfect solution for those of us who are so busy we barely have time to breathe. You can put this dough together and bake it off later.
First, prepare the dough as the directions say. Then freeze this dough you have to wrap it up in either parchment paper (or waxed) or plastic wrap. Then place it in a storage bag after you have written on the bag what it is and the date you placed in the freezer. It helps to write on the bag the temp and time to bake the cookies. This way you don’t have to go searching for the recipe.
Okay, y’all we are a week closer to Christmas and in the last week of Bake Mas 2019. Here is the basic plan.
Monday-Cranberry Oatmeal Cookie
Tuesday-Fudge both Chocolate and Peanut Butter and I’m going to share what makes the peanut butter one so good.
Wednesday-Old Fashion Cake Doughnuts
Thursday-Apple and Cherry Hand Pies. These will be similar to the commercial brand of individual pies.
Friday-Chocolate and Peanut Butter Muffins. These you could hold back and use them for a breakfast.
Then we will assemble the items and get them ready to be distributed. After that, we will start the Christmas push. Our menu for Christmas dinner is going to be very easy and basic.
The holidays are one week away, and I am sure you will have kids in your house extra running around. Here is a quick and easy way to get them feed and on their way. Holiday Waffle Bar! Yep! Take those waffles and dress them up.
Go to Pinterest then search Holiday Waffle Bar and get ready to be amazed at the ideas there.
Here is a very simple muffin recipe I am going to use. You can dress it up any way you want. That is a great thing about basic recipes. You can modify how your family will like. You know your family better than I or any tv chef does. Remember the recipes below are ones that anyone can print off. I sometimes use recipes that are copyrighted. I will always give you comparable recipes that are very similar.
For this video, we are going to add cranberries to it. I personally am not a huge cranberry fan. My daughter loves them so this is for her.
I will be using the recipe on the back on my oatmeal container. Feel free to use whatever oatmeal cookie recipe your family likes and add chocolate chips to it.
I came across these treats back in the summer and they just screamed Christmas. So here we are two weeks away from Christmas and making them. I hope y’all are enjoying Bake Mas 2019.
These were so cute y’all. We got about twenty of them and they got Sarges like of approval. It’s okay because the doughnuts weren’t chocolate. We decided that icing wasn’t necessary. Between the sweets, we have been eating and what we will be eating, icing just wasn’t needed. We still have fudge to make which I have been making in one way or another since I was 13.
Week’s end
Here is the deal y’all. I ran out of milk and steam to keep pushing through. However, I am happy with the amount of stuff we got done and will continue to do. So, for tomorrows video will be dressing up plain old waffles for a holiday theme, Cranberries. Now I am sure you will have plenty of people for the holiday’s so make breakfast a little bit easier by making up waffles ahead. And we will do some Pancakes as well. I am going to re-examine my schedule and see what can come off without losing too much. We have decided to keep Christmas dinner as easy as possible since it will be us and our cousin for the meal. I have enjoyed sharing these projects with y’all and I look forward to doing more over the week. https://youtu.be/LR3yKkbYpg8
