I came across this video interview a week ago. This gentleman put out a video two weeks ago telling what is happening to the family beef ranchers. Mr. Shad Sullivan has been in the beef ranch business since he was born. Yeah! He and his siblings were born into it. The information he gives in this interview is critical to understanding what is really going on in our food industry. Also, I am going to leave you a link to a report which Rick Sanchez featured on his show about Truckers and how they are getting screwed.
We have a bit to talk about so let’s go. Here is something to think about: Smithfield’s Foods is owned by WH Group LTD based in China. WH Group was known as Shuanghui Group. I suppose WH Group LTD sounds more American or British than the Shuanghui Group. Seriously, how did this happen? Who lets this go under the radar? Now we have to deal with the fact that the pork raised here is owned by Chinese companies, and will now be sending their pork to China. I don’t think there is much Trump can do about it. Since this didn’t transpire under his watch. Now if he tries to stop the pork from going to China. These farms are owned by Smithfield’s Foods and they are owned by a Chinese company based in China. And round and round we go.
Moving on to the next story. Meatpackers are getting sick and dying. I think the first paragraph explains a portion of it. China doesn’t have the best work environment rules. So if Smithfield has a packing house where there is a question of whose rules do they follow. China’s or America’s? Which one saves the most money? That is the one they follow. This is why Upton Sinclair wrote Into The Jungle. It was about exactly what we are seeing with governors telling people if you don’t go back to work you will lose your unemployment benefits. Well, guess what, they are going to lose them anyway once they go back to work. Then what about the Fall? This COVID-19 has been scheduled to make a comeback in the Fall. Can we really take another shutdown? NO! No, we can’t.
We are going to get back in the kitchen. I promise. I have so many ideas for renovating cereal crispy bars with different cereals. And God knows I have enough cereal. No bake cookies, yum!
I started reading Report From Iron Mountain. So far I am outraged by the idea that medical progresses are seen as problems and poverty of the masses is needed by the bourgeois to keep the petty bourgeois (millionaire wannabes) in line. Besides if poverty didn’t exist how would the bourgeois keep workers coming in Mon – Fri from 9 to 5 without the threat of poverty.
We are getting ready for a polar vortex. Oh the excitement of having a hot water heater pipe break. I don’t have to pay a dime. I got two pot roast cut up yesterday. They are ready for a canning project. I just want to get two maybe eight more.
Hope your days going well. We have made a run to Kroger. We found flowers for sale in Michigan #Michigannotthemoon. Kroger is limiting aka rationing pork roast 2 per person. I refilled somethings I had used up about.
Yes, it is time for some good news from our farmers. In Idaho, farmers have deiced that giving their produce away is better than letting it rot on the vine which they were doing last month. I don’t know when they had that idea. I am just glad they finally did. I will leave that link below. Why don’t more farmers do this? They are probably being paid to dump or till it over.
More good news, Tyson this week spent about 40 dollars in plastic to create barriers between workers. Along with the conveyer belt, the birds ride which is wide open space. Let the germs fly. Hey, they believe they can fly. I am not going to step on the dreams of germs. Harry Vox had an article that in retrospect makes sense. The meat we eat which has been harvested, better than other words I could use, could be contaminated. Holy Cow. Or a pig. The bottom line is that we these animals are processed they are processed by people who may have COVID-19. Again it’s time to go back to the family own farms.
USDA wants to help poor family farmers! If they had wanted they wouldn’t have created factory farms. Enough. Like George Carlin said, “Nobody does Bullshit like America.”
Here are some clips from today’s Kroger run. There are some things are coming back. However, as I have shared over the last few weeks the sources are limited. The packages are shrinking. You aren’t going to notice because it won’t obvious yet. It is predicted that in about six months to a year people will start to notice their products have shrunk. Will they react? I don’t think they will. They will probably just say “it’s the new norm.”
It has finally happened my friends. Yesterday I came across an article where Trump had issued an order for meatpacking plants to reopen. NOW! This is a contradiction to the fact Ranchers are being told to cull their herds while beef from Namibia Africa. What in the hell part of their brain went down for that decision? Why are we importing beef when we have an amply supply here? We just have to get them moving. This is 50 shades of stupid.
After watching Christian’s video at Ice Age Farmer, he brought to my attention that the National Guard is delivering food for food banks. Okay, for now, they are helping out with the growing demand for food banks across the country. We were already heading downing this path prior to the pandemic. No! The pandemic didn’t help. In the Fall we will the effects of the spring planting if we have one. Grocery stores are hustling to find beef and pork while the plants are empty and there is beef imported from Africa. This situation is so serious that Tyson has taken out an ad in The New York Times saying “the food supply chain is breaking”. Actually, it’s broke.
