Ok but how did the Edwardians WASH these dresses?

If you think your laundry day bites, check out this video. Bernadette washes a dress like the Edwardian people would’ve done. By hand.

Night before she makes the soap. Yeah! Makes the soap. Of course, she also had to remove any stains. This must be done with care.

Next day! She has got to get early. Watch the video and you’ll understand. Because besides doing the wash, an Edwardian house servent would have their regular scheduled duties. Breakfast, starting a fire and keeping it going all day long. Tend to regular things and laundry.

Of course, Bernadette didn’t follow all of the original instructions. They called for gasoline and fire. Yeah! I am not sure how this would play out but I glad she didn’t go that route.

Hello y'all! I have hit a point in my life that I miss the simple dishes and times that my parents grew up in. People were kind to each other and the food was homemade from scratch. Before convince food was everywhere. Oh, those were the days... Let's reclaim them and start cooking from scratch again.
