Memorial Day

Growing up with a Veteran for a father this day was never about grilling, sales, or other commericalized nonsense we see today. It is disgusting.

We used to do things that had meaning. Cleaning memorial stones, retiring a flag, or serving a meal at the AM Vets or VFW. We didn’t celebrate the sacrifice of lives.

As I have gotten older I’ve come to understand all the lies which every war has been told to get a population in war. I can no longer stand by for this. I won’t stand by while American lives are thrown away because of greedy politicians. NO.

Hello y'all! I have hit a point in my life that I miss the simple dishes and times that my parents grew up in. People were kind to each other and the food was homemade from scratch. Before convince food was everywhere. Oh, those were the days... Let's reclaim them and start cooking from scratch again.
