Multi Generational Home

In the video link below, Patara is talking about an old trend that may be returning. Multi Generational Home!

In Hawaii, this is a common practice among natives. I can remember my parents taking people in while I was growing up. I remember my mom talking about dinners in which everyone brought something. It was a community dinner. These were the best. My daughter’s father was from Mexico. She was exposed to this style of living. I am glad she was.

Patara made a great point, we (you and I) need to get ready for this to return. I made the”WE” clear because this is how our ancestors survived the Great Depression. Multiple folks living in one house. It can be tight. But it’s what they had to do. And it’s what we are going to have to do. Are you ready?

Hello y'all! I have hit a point in my life that I miss the simple dishes and times that my parents grew up in. People were kind to each other and the food was homemade from scratch. Before convince food was everywhere. Oh, those were the days... Let's reclaim them and start cooking from scratch again.
