Prepping for Super Bowl

This year it will be the Eagles and 49ers. I had to google this. Anyway here’s a quick overview of the week so you aren’t sucking wind come Saturday and Sunday.

MONDAY: Check in with your guest. Make sure they can bring the designated items they signed up for.

TUESDAY: Once you get home from work, shop your shelves. What do you already have? This will help to shrink your list for the store.

WEDNESDAY: Find out if someone is going to Sam’s or Costco (Gordon Food Service) GFS. Granted GFS is primarily in Michigan and couple other states. They sell large bulk food like Sam’s without the other distractions of Sam’s. Give that person money for items like paperplates and such. Have everyone chip a couple dollars for gas.

THURSDAY: Talk with who ever made the grocery run to set up a time to pick up your items. Confirm decorating times for everyone. This will make setup and clean up easier for the host family.

FRIDAY: Clean up the areas and bathroom everine will be using. If you have someone who is attending with time to do a cleaning ask them if they would do so. Make sure you trust this person completely.

SATURDAY: In 24 hours you will have people in your home. Make sure the entry way is cleared. Don’t forget activities for children if they will be attending. There’s nothing worst than little ones who are bored.

SUNDAY: In a matter of hours your guest will be here. Do some quick tidying up and set up last minute items.

Hello y'all! I have hit a point in my life that I miss the simple dishes and times that my parents grew up in. People were kind to each other and the food was homemade from scratch. Before convince food was everywhere. Oh, those were the days... Let's reclaim them and start cooking from scratch again.
