I came across this post from Taste Of Home and it hit me. Who says we have to have the Norman Rockwell Christmas Dinner. With all honesty, I wasn’t sure what I was going to post. Then I saw this and hot dog.
This post has everything you would need to have an inexpensive dinner at Christmas. I know there are people who won’t be able to afford a full ‘traditional meal’. Perhaps it’s time to change that. Below will be some ideas for a theme dinner party for Christmas.
HOME ALONE: Yeah! In Home Alone Kevin got a cheese pizza, pepsi (or coke a cola) and ice cream super sundea. Kevin is left home alone when his family goes to France. A second option is a dinner inspred by France. There’s two options.
CASABLANCA: This is a classic movie. It’s starts in Fance and ends up in Morocco. Here’s two countries. How about a Moroccan Tagine with a French Cake.
DR. ZHIVAGO: Here’s one last theme. This was the last epic movie MGM did that was a huge hit. While the movie was about how they lived post-Bolshevik Revolution, here’s some ideas for a dinner they would’ve been able to eat. Protein would be whatever you could hunt. Veggies would be whatever was at the store or you could grow. Mashed potatoes. Dessert could be simple Berry Pavlova.
