I am getting more and more nostalgic as I get older. I enjoy seeing what people used to have for holiday meals. Compared to now. There was something in this article that caught my eye. FRUITCAKE!
My late Grams (my maternal grandmother) used to send us a box of Christmas treats every year about the second week of December. In this box of goodness was coolies, fudge, divanity, and furitcake. This was your old school door stop cake. This was bathed in Brandy.
Yeah! This fruit cake had so much Brandy the post works would be drunk from handling the box. 😂🤣😅 It was good once you got past the Brandy. I miss it.
