Holiday Leftovers

From today till December 30th each Friday will be dedicated to using holiday meal leftovers. Food prices are going through the roof. It’s insane. I saw a box of sixty eggs go up six bucks in one week. 😬

So here’s this week’s ideas.

SOUP: It’s cold outside and it’s only going to get colder. With New England States were officially told they will (not might) have rolling black outs. Soup is quick and easy to make. They were popular in the Great Depression because soup can feed a herd.

SANDWICHES: Sandwiches by themselves are boring. When you change the flavors or cheeses, oh my God. You can take turkey, gouda and a fancy mustard like Dijon serve it with cranberry sauce. That bland turkey sandwich is elevated. Quesadillas are awesome! Two tortillas with meat and cheese. Simple and incredible.

CASSEROLES: Thursday has become casseroles. I don’t know how it happened. It did! The casseroles here are holiday meals based. Sliced turkey with dressing…
