Ode to Corn

Corn is a summer favorite of all. I honestly don’t know many who don’t like it or are allergic to it. It’s plump sweet and goes with anything. Salads, salas, or puddings. It’s delicious.

I was looking for motivation for this post. While scanning Pinterest I came across a video of Natasha from Natasha’s Kitchen making something with corn. Down the corn rabbit hole I went. This post is the result.

My personal favorite method of cooking corn on the cobb is steaming. Out of a can is anyway I feel motivated. I may just heat it up un a pan with salt, pepper, and garlic or honey. My late mother made a scalloped corn and a corn casserole that was good. My late father served corn with honey and butter. It was simple and delicious. The salt and honey helped enhance the corns natural sweetness.

Hello y'all! I have hit a point in my life that I miss the simple dishes and times that my parents grew up in. People were kind to each other and the food was homemade from scratch. Before convince food was everywhere. Oh, those were the days... Let's reclaim them and start cooking from scratch again.
