The author of this article is Steven John and he delivers a major truth bomb about what didhes actually are found in India and which ones are tourist traps. Take Tikki Chicken Marssala.

No really take it because people in India don’t eat it. It was created in Glashlow Scotland. Yep. Steven John goes into detail about all kinds of things like Samosas. They have become an American obsession. Here’s the problem. Are you ready? Original Samosa don’t have meat in them.

I guess Porky pig would be happy about that. However, Mary’s little lamb won’t be happy because folks in India do eat lamb just not the curry listed in this article. Nope. India is known for their curries. Red hot burn your lips to mild green. They’ve influenced the cuisines across Southeast Asia. Check out Mation’s Kitchen on YouTube ( the one thing YouTube is actually still good for). Of course, there are many channels dedicated to cuisines in Southeast Asia.

Back to the article, this is actually a common thing. When a country becomes a trend, there will be knock off dishes that’s supposed to be ‘authentic’. After living with someone who started life in another country, I have learned to be suspicious. Steven John has other articles on dishes that are supposed to be from other nations that aren’t found there at all.

Hello y'all! I have hit a point in my life that I miss the simple dishes and times that my parents grew up in. People were kind to each other and the food was homemade from scratch. Before convince food was everywhere. Oh, those were the days... Let's reclaim them and start cooking from scratch again.
