Are you ready for Thanksgiving? Yeah ! It’s around the corner. I get excited about the leftover turkey sandwiches. This year I’m also making Turkey Dumplings. I going to use a badic chicken and dumplings recipe which I’ll switch turkey for chicken.
We are doong delux mashed potatoes with heavy cream and cream cheese. Lots of butter. Corn is just a staple veggie for Thanksgiving. It was always on the table growing up. Ina does a mushroom and leek stuffing. I am going for the boxed one. It’s what I ate as a kid and we both like it. Gravy is coming from a packet.
I do love Ina’s approach. Make ahead what you can. Assemble something. Make something. Buy something. I always try to make the meal. Appetizers can be assembled and/or dessert can be bought. Of course, you could flip those depending on what you can get the best deal on.
