Here we are getting closer to the big day. At this point we are closing in on the one month mark.
I really liked this post. You can take two or three items from each section to cater a Feast for your day. Also, there’s a section on making the big day special. Something I enjoy about Kimmie from She’s In Her Apron (SIHA)is she breaks down how to prep week by week.
This post has suggestions for games to setting the table. Kimmie from SIHA sets her table the night before Thanksgiving when it’s her turn to host. That’s a great idea. It’ll take one thing off of your plate.
I also use Ina Garten’s approaches. 1. Make ahead what you can. 2. Assemble something, make something, and buy something. Then you can be a guest at your own feast. Yeah! Instead of spending Thanksgiving in the kitchen making everything, make a plan and cook ahead what you can.
Another option would be to potluck the meal. Keep in mind if your only having a few friends over this will limit what you have on the table.
