Here’s an interesting article on canning for beginners. I don’t think we can ever have enough information about canning basic skills. The basic knowledge is well, basic must know skills. There is a science to canning food safely. Trust me when I say divorce would be cheaper than a homicide trial. Yeah! If not done properly canned food can become dangerous. Costco just did a recall last week on black beans. So here is a list of foods which should never be home canned only because the equipment is crazy expensive to can safely; eggs, pasta, rice, and flour. That’s it. Four items which should not be home canned. If you have five or more years of canning experience please feel free to share advice and stories here.
