Here’s a recipe from the WW II era. Difference? It was created in Russia. These little meat pies were created out of necessity to feed Russian citizens and Soldiers during WW II. The recipe calls for parts of an animal we don’t usually eat. I have no doubt with enough creativity it can be modernized.
