There is a lot of history between China and Taiwan.. In a nutshell, after the Communist revolution in China, the bourgeoisie took all of China’s riches and fled to Taiwan. This left China broke and impoverished. The Communist party never forgot this nor did they forgive. Russis and Ukraine have similar history. For most of the Romanov reign Ukraine was part of Russia after it lost independence in the 1500s. After that it has been a never ending problem.
