Yes! A lot of the experienced preppers do buy pre-canned foods from stores and they will store them for long periods of time. However, there is on time of factory canned tops that won’t keep for long periods of time. The lovely pop tops. The cans which you can pull a tab and it’s open won’t last for long periods. From what I understand the area around the section you pull back and break lose after so many years.
With that said, it’s recommended to have a working pantry. This means you are rotating your stock out and you are replenishing what you use so nothing goes bad.
