We have a bit to talk about so let’s go. Here is something to think about: Smithfield’s Foods is owned by WH Group LTD based in China. WH Group was known as Shuanghui Group. I suppose WH Group LTD sounds more American or British than the Shuanghui Group. Seriously, how did this happen? Who lets this go under the radar? Now we have to deal with the fact that the pork raised here is owned by Chinese companies, and will now be sending their pork to China. I don’t think there is much Trump can do about it. Since this didn’t transpire under his watch. Now if he tries to stop the pork from going to China. These farms are owned by Smithfield’s Foods and they are owned by a Chinese company based in China. And round and round we go.
Moving on to the next story. Meatpackers are getting sick and dying. I think the first paragraph explains a portion of it. China doesn’t have the best work environment rules. So if Smithfield has a packing house where there is a question of whose rules do they follow. China’s or America’s? Which one saves the most money? That is the one they follow. This is why Upton Sinclair wrote Into The Jungle. It was about exactly what we are seeing with governors telling people if you don’t go back to work you will lose your unemployment benefits. Well, guess what, they are going to lose them anyway once they go back to work. Then what about the Fall? This COVID-19 has been scheduled to make a comeback in the Fall. Can we really take another shutdown? NO! No, we can’t.
